Job summary

Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, AL seeks a Flightline Avionics Technician for the A320 family. You will perform FTPs, pre/post flight checks, and test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft systems using approved manuals and data.

Strong focus on safety, quality and cost, with potential for growth and diverse aerospace exposure. Responsibilities include operating test equipment, interpreting diagrams, and coordinating with systems engineers to resolve issues while adhering to shift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years minimum aviation experience.
• 3 years’ experience with Applied Science in Avionics, A&P, or FCC license.
• Valid A&P or FCC License.
• Ability to obtain Repairman Certificate.
• Willing to work rotation shift schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft system Functional Test Procedure (FTP) and pre-/post-flight daily inspection checklists to prepare built aircraft for test flight readiness.
• Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate airborne electronic flight control, navigational and heating systems.
• Set up and operate ground support and test equipment for functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems.
• Interpret flight test data with systems engineer to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance issues.
• Maintain safety, quality and cost controls and ensure proper documentation.
