Rio Staffing LLC. seeks a proactive A&P technician to maintain a high-utilization piston training fleet in Georgetown, TX. You will perform intricate inspections, repairs, and sign-offs, ensuring airworthiness and safety for daytime and nighttime operations.

The role requires a current FAA A&P certificate, 3+ years of piston GA experience, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with flight ops. Shifts are 10 hours, with benefits and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent hands-on experience with piston-powered GA aircraft (e.g., Piper, Cirrus, Diamond).
• Deep functional knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91.
• Capable of independent work and airworthiness determinations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to digital maintenance tracking platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle maintenance and inspections on piston-powered trainer aircraft from intake to sign-off.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical discrepancies in line with FAA mandates and manufacturer data.
• Interpret manuals, SBs, and ADs to ensure repairs meet standards.
• Generate audit-ready logbooks and maintenance records for all actions.
• Maintain a clean, safety-oriented hangar reflecting shop standards.
• Coordinate with flight ops and technicians to protect training schedules.
• Adjust maintenance priorities with fleet availability and training needs.
• Support 24/7 flight ops by fulfilling day or night shift assignments.

Minimum Requirements

• Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on experience with piston-powered GA aircraft (e.g., Piper, Cirrus, Diamond).

• Capability to work independently and make definitive airworthiness determinations.
