Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a System Development & Test Engineer to support the MQ-1C Gray Eagle and Mojave STOL programs.

Under general directions with regular review, this role applies innovative approaches to complex engineering problems in lab, ground, and flight testing of new technologies. The successful candidate will perform T&E activities on UAS and GCE programs, develop system-level test plans and procedures, conduct SIL, ground, and flight testing, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience as test conductor/director or test pilot/navigator is desirable.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to work extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Test & Evaluation activities on UAS and Ground Control Element programs.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and report findings with detailed results.
• Support safety reviews, technical reviews, and cross-team coordination.
• Act as test director for ground and flight tests and lead crews.
• Communicate test plans and observations clearly throughout flight programs.
