Job summary

Boeing in Berkeley, MO is seeking an Associate Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to join the Instrumentation Installation Design group. You will help create mechanical hardware to install a flight test data system, spanning 3D models, drawings, and model-based definition, with opportunities across aircraft areas.

Responsibilities include design of shelves, mounts, test mechanisms, wiring routing, and collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, or Materials)
• Experience in mechanical design
• Experience with a CAD package (Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Incorporation of instrumentation into mechanical designs, including model-based wire routing
• Design mechanical components such as shelves, trays, clips, brackets, sensor mounts
• Develop mechanical design criteria from test objectives/specifications
• Support design documentation and downstream users/customers
• Collaborate with manufacturing on producibility and procurement
• Assist in installation support and engineering revisions as needed
• Support Saint Louis production programs across multiple platforms
• Perform spatial integration at component level and modification of mechanisms
• Prepare technical documents for mechanical components and systems
• Conduct system tests to verify requirements
• Monitor suppliers' performance for compliance
• Resolve product integration issues and production anomalies
• Research basic technologies for potential applications
