Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, MO is seeking Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineers to join the Instrumentation Installation Design group supporting flight test programs. You will synthesize requirements, produce 3D models and 2D drawings, and define hardware to install flight test data systems on the air vehicle.

You will work through the full design cycle, coordinating with manufacturing, electrical designers, and suppliers, with onsite responsibilities.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.
• BS in Engineering with mechanical, civil, aerospace, or materials focus.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience.
• 3+ years using CAD tools such as Siemens NX or CATIA.

Responsibilities

• Determine where and how to locate flight test equipment on the air vehicle.
• Design mechanical components such as shelves, trays, brackets, and sensor mounts.
• Incorporate instrumentation into mechanical designs and define installation.
• Work with manufacturing on producibility and procurement.
• Support installation with engineering revisions and on shipside when needed.
• Support Saint Louis production programs and collaborate across platforms.
