Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Logistics and Tool Control Manager to support ground and flight test execution for the X-BAT program. You will manage tool-control, calibration readiness, inventory accuracy, and procurement coordination to ensure safe, efficient test operations.

You will partner with Test Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to anticipate changing aircraft configurations and test needs while maintaining rigorous asset control and compliance in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 5+ years in aviation/defense ops
• Experience with tool control and calibrated assets
• Familiar with asset-management systems
• Ability to work cross-functionally

Responsibilities

• Manage the tool-control program for maintenance, integration, ground and flight test activities.
• Maintain serialized records for tools, equipment, batteries, and other controlled assets.
• Enforce tool issuance, return, reconciliation, accountability procedures.
• Support FOD prevention through audits, training, and corrective actions.
• Maintain calibration schedules and prevent use of out-of-spec equipment on flight hardware.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to support test readiness.
• Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, and return of parts and equipment.
• Lead cycle counts and inventory audits, addressing discrepancies.
