Responsibilities
MTSI is hiring a Test Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a TS/SCI clearance to support a Government Office at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia. The successful candidate will research and define requirements, working closely with Air Force program managers and industry experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) to develop innovative solutions for early development weapon systems and sub-systems. This role requires a deep understanding of flight test operations.

Key Job Functions
- Serve as the technical expert in developing requirements for test and evaluation of experimental autonomous aircraft.
- Coordinate with DT and OT communities to facilitate and track testing activities.
- Assist in developing, delivering, and sustaining aviation capabilities for the US Air Force.
- Manage government and industry partners in requirements definition and refinement.
- Interface with AFLCMC, AFRL, other services, government organizations, weapon schools, and industry, managing air system contractors in terms of cost, schedule, and performance.
Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of operational flying with detailed knowledge of AF tactics.
- Ability to use creativity, foresight, and judgment in solving problems within evolving environments.
- Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure, and possess excellent organizational skills.
- Active Top Secret security clearance, with work within classified SAP and SCI facilities.
- Experience in aircraft modernization, fighter systems, and weapons capability/integration.
- Minimum of 4 years of SAP experience within the last 6 years.
Education:
Desired Skills:
- 5th Gen aircraft or LO RPA test experience.
- Test pilot school (TPS) graduate.
- MAJCOM staff experience.
Clearance Requirements
- Top Secret with SCI clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Up to 15% travel to CONUS/OCONUS areas.
