Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Flight Technician/Aircraft Mechanic 3/4 at our Washington-Dulles facility in Dulles, VA. This is a 1st shift position, but it will require the ability to work some flexible hours, occasional overtime, alternate scheduling and weekends as needed to support the operation.
The position reports to the Aviation Maintenance Manager. Primary duties will include complete oversight of regulatory compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturers’ inspection and maintenance programs, and Department and Company policy. Perform tasks assigned by the manager, assist in providing daily personnel work assignments, and guide, mentor, and provide on-the-job instruction or training to the assigned group in related technical information job procedures, safety, and general shop and hangar practices. This position will work alongside fellow technicians at NGAD repair stations performing recovery & postflight/preflight inspection duties, scheduled & unscheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturer's technical specifications and Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
Flight Technicians are responsible for flying on corporate aircraft during domestic and international travel, providing technical expertise during in-flight and AOG situations along with tending to the comfort and safety needs of passengers, including serving food and beverages. While conducting appropriate cabin management practices, the Flight Technician will have a solid understanding of on-board communication systems, including internet and Iridium phone systems. In conjunction with Flight Technician duties, they will perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and launch/recovery support.
The Flight Technician/Aircraft Mechanic will be a dynamic role to ensure the utmost quality criteria of company aircraft as described below, but not limited to:
Salary Range: $64,600.00 - $107,600.00; Salary Range 2: $76,800.00 - $128,000.00.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
