Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in engineering or related field with 11+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• Proven supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with resource planning and bid/proposal tracking.
• Extensive aerodynamics, flight performance, CFD or GNC knowledge.
• Flight testing experience with UAS.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and DoD clearance ability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers focusing on flight sciences and tool development.
• Oversee department compute resources, licensing, and upgrades.
• Manage capital expenses for the department.
• Oversee department bid and proposal work.
• Develop and maintain a tools roadmap, including internal codes and COTS software.
• Recruit, hire, and develop engineers aligned with the roadmap.
• Coordinate resources with other department leaders as needed.
