Job summary

Astro Digital designs, builds, and operates a diverse range of small satellite systems. We seek a mid-level Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to verify and deploy flight software on engineering and flight hardware, ensuring mission readiness.

You will load and configure flight software builds, develop and run functional, regression, and acceptance tests, and collaborate with software, systems, and AI&T teams in a tightly integrated aerospace lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in software quality assurance or embedded test engineering.
• Hands-on experience with flight or embedded software on hardware.
• Experience developing and executing functional, regression, and acceptance tests.
• Proficiency with Git and Python.
• Experience with automated tests or CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Load and configure flight software builds on engineering units and hardware.
• Configure software parameters on flight hardware for bring-up and testing.
• Develop, document, and execute functional, regression, and acceptance tests.
• Perform end-to-end validation of flight software on integrated systems.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and AI&T teams during integration and pre-flight activities.
• Maintain configuration control and traceability of software versions and artifacts.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and anomalies.
• Verify compliance of flight software with requirements and mission constraints.
• Generate clear test reports and communicate readiness, quality status, and risks.
