Northrop Grumman is seeking a Flight Software Engineering intern for its Space sector in Redondo Beach, CA. You will join a Western Region Software Organization team and contribute to software design, development, testing and debugging in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to software standards, with a focus on gaining practical experience during the Summer 2027 term.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time and be a student for Fall 2027.
• Majoring in CS/CE/Software Eng or Electrical Eng or related STEM.
• Available to work full-time for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems.
• Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers on data processing systems.
• Determine computer user needs.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems and requirements.
• Prepare operating instructions.
• Design and develop compilers/assemblers and operating systems.
• Ensure software standards are met.
