Hermeus is hiring a Flight Software Engineer on the Command & Control team in Atlanta to design, develop, and integrate embedded flight software and networking infrastructure for aircraft-ground communication.

You will work on embedded C/C++ software for communications, telemetry, and data links, while ensuring reliable operations across vehicle and ground networks. Travel up to 25% for integration and test activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• Professional experience developing embedded software in C and/or C++.
• Strong fundamentals: memory management, pointers, references, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience interfacing software with hardware.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments and networked/distributed systems.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ software for aircraft communications, telemetry, Command & Control, and data links.
• Design software enabling reliable air-ground communication with ownership across vehicle and ground-network infrastructure.
• Create interfaces for radios, transmitters, receivers, and avionics; integrate RF systems with hardware.
• Develop network management functionality including Ethernet, TCP/UDP, multicast; write requirements and design documents.
• Test and debug on target hardware; support flight tests; travel up to 25%.
