Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to support defense aviation, flight software development, and mission-critical aircraft systems. This onsite role at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software models and operational flight software for strategic bomber platforms.

The ideal candidate will have C and/or ADA experience, familiarity with JIRA, and a solid understanding of SDLC and software integration. A U.S.

Qualifications

Experience developing software using C and/or ADA.
Experience with JIRA for requirements management, workflow tracking, and development activities.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and software integration.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Must be a U.S. Person for export compliance purposes.
Active Secret Clearance required to start.
Experience with embedded software design is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software system and subsystem engineering models.
Develop and support operational flight software used for aircraft monitoring and testing.
Analyze and translate customer requirements and technical specifications into software solutions.
Support software integration efforts and enhance system performance and functionality.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
