Job summary

Intuitive Machines in Houston, TX is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain flight software features for our space missions.

The role requires deep experience in C/C++ and hardware/software integration, knowledge of serial and network protocols, and a passion for spaceflight. You will collaborate with hardware teams and contribute to high-assurance testing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of C/C++ development experience.
• 5–10 years of hardware/software integration experience.
• Familiar with serial communications protocols and packetized networks (RS-232/422/485, IP/UDP/IP/TCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain flight software features and improvements.
• Analyze, test and perform I/O performance assessments on integrated hardware/software solutions.
• Interface with hardware design and development teams.
• Draft unit/integration tests and coordinate high-level testing of features.
