XWING is seeking a Flight Research Senior Remote Pilot. The successful candidate will operate a large UAS and take on the role of remote pilot in command for a key project. Candidates must possess a minimum Part 61 certificate and ideally hold an instrument rating.

This position offers a competitive base pay ranging from $149,900 to $245,000/year alongside a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, 401(k), and stock options.

Flight Research Senior Remote Pilot

Fly, fly, fly. Primary responsibility will be to fulfill duties of remote pilot in command in support of Iris in a lead role for the project. This means a butt in the seat with good stick skills and ability to operate a large UAS in the NAS as well as develop and uphold procedures in conjunction with the Flight Test Lead. Ideally they have some experience with leading and/or managing people or projects.

Required

Given our current operating approvals, we can be slightly flexible in certification requirements but at minimum a Part 61 certificate with the ability to obtain an instrument but ideally they already have it. Experience operating medium to large UAS from purpose built GCS is a very strong requirement. Training of the individual needs to be focused more on the specifics around the system than on core skills.

Additional Information

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $149,900 - $245,000/yr.

The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
