Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Production Engineer to verify missile flight hardware and propulsion systems align with baseline standards. You will assess prime contractor designs, execute technical reviews, and enforce mission assurance guidelines across all design and production phases.

The role requires expertise in AIAA S-113 and related standards, along with strong capability in writing, presenting, and defending engineering assessments to leadership and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM field required.
• 7+ years in missile defense or large DoD programs.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AIAA S-113 and related standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and ECOs/ECPs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Audit designs, processes and records to ensure flight-worthiness.
• Apply AIAA S-113 and related standards across design and production phases.
• Participate in SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, FRR milestone reviews.
• Oversee MRB dispositions and FRBs to implement CAPA.
• Review QTPs/ATPs and act as on-site witness during testing.
• Lead IPT meetings with suppliers to ensure schedule and issue resolution.
