Job summary

Cowboy Space Corp. is building the propulsion and fluid systems hardware for its orbital vehicles. You will design valves, tanks, fittings, and fluid routing, and own the interface across propulsion, thermal, and pneumatic subsystems.

You will analyze hydraulic and pneumatic performance, perform structural checks, and create detailed drawings for flight hardware. This role requires CAD proficiency and hands‑on build/test experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, or related engineering field.
  • 3+ years designing fluid system hardware for flight or high‑performance applications.
  • Experience with fluid system analysis and thermal‑fluid modeling.
  • Hands‑on experience taking hardware from design through build and test.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools for detailed part and assembly design.

Responsibilities

  • Design valves for propellant, pressurant, and thermal fluid systems.
  • Develop fluid storage hardware from concept through qualification.
  • Design fluid routing architecture for vehicle integration.
  • Own fluid subsystem layout across propulsion, thermal, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform hydraulic and pneumatic analysis to size components.
  • Perform structural analysis and validate with test/flight data.
  • Select materials compatible with propellants and environments.
  • Generate detailed drawings, specifications, and interfaces.
  • Support component and system test campaigns.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve build issues.
