Job summary

Space Kinetic Corp. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, build, and mature prototypes for our core technology in Albuquerque, NM. You’ll refine the electrical architecture, resolve complex challenges, and collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing teams to push towards flight-readiness.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototype work, rapid iteration, and close coordination with vendors for PCB fabrication, with a strong focus on documentation and system integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and build electrical prototypes for Space Kinetic’s core technology.
• Refine and finalize the current prototype’s electrical design to support all phases of prototype maturation.
• Undertake circuit design tasks, generate detailed schematics, and perform component selection.
• Apply tolerancing, design-for-manufacture principles, and thorough documentation across all electrical prototype phases.
• Support PCB layout design and coordinate with external vendors for fabrication and assembly of PCB components.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to integrate electrical systems into mechanical assemblies.
• Verify and validate designs through testing, debugging, and iteration to improve reliability.
• Participate in design reviews and drive the electrical subsystem toward flight-readiness.
• Maintain electrical documentation including BOMs, wiring diagrams, ICDs, and test procedures.
• Move iterations toward a flight-ready prototype aligned with 2-year goals.
