Job summary

DCS Corporation in Dayton, OH seeks a Journeyman Electrical Engineer to join the crossfunctional team turning Phalanx Griffon into flightready hardware for Major Release 2. You’ll focus on power distribution, wiring harnesses, interface control documentation, and EMI/EMC compliance for the Nomad chassis.

Responsibilities include design, test, and documentation of electrical hardware for airborne systems, use of ECAD tools, and collaboration with defense engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 15 years related experience with 5 in DoD, or BA/BS with 10 years and 3 in DoD.
  • Experience reading/modifying schematics.
  • Familiar with MILSTD704/1275 power and MILSTD461 EMI/EMC.
  • Experience with lab instrumentation and fault isolation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design, development and deployment of military R&D airborne stores and equipment.
  • Participate in lab, ground and flight testing to validate electrical hardware.
  • Document and communicate electrical hardware solutions with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environment.
  • Use modeling tools for hardware products and systems (Creo Schematics, Creo Parametric).
  • Contribute to investments and research that fuel innovation and technological advancements.
  • Explain technical solutions, practices and procedures to others within the organization.
