POSITION SUMMARY:
The Flight Paramedic is a licensed professional Paramedic who provides direct patient care during air medical transport.The Flight Paramedic provides patient care within the paramedic scope of practice. The Flight Paramedic will be expected to provide direct patient care either on FlightCare or in the Emergency Department. They will be available for Flight Response for the duration of their 12 hour shift. They also will be available to assist in Emergency Department patient care.

Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must have the ability to motivate, delegate, analyze information, problem solve, and make effective decisions. Must be able to work effectively with peers, other departments, first responders and the public using good interpersonal skills, discretion and diplomacy. Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
