Flight Paramedic - Starting at $20.92+ DOE

We’re hiring a Flight Paramedic to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities
  1. Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
  2. Conduct daily base checks, including narcotic count.
  3. Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is transferred to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough documentation.
  4. Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
  5. Keep documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures up to date in the Employee Education Manual.
  6. Be knowledgeable in the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
  7. Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
  8. Participate as a medical flight team member.
  9. Attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings, completing all necessary documentation.
  10. Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and support pilots with radio, navigational, and visual activities as needed.
  11. Follow safety standards to ensure the safety of self, crew, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff.
  12. Conduct aircraft safety briefings as necessary.
  13. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  1. At least three (3) years of experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
Preferred Education and Certifications
  1. Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
  2. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma; required prior to flight status.
  3. Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred; must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
  4. Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS are preferred.
  5. NREMT-P certification may be required in the assigned area.
