Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is seeking a Part-Time Flight Paramedic to provide advanced life support during air transport and scene calls. The role emphasizes patient safety, meticulous documentation, and coordination with EMS, hospitals, and pilots.

Responsibilities include pre-hospital and intra-hospital care from initial contact to handoff. Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years in 911/critical care, a current EMT-P license, and required BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/trauma

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license in the assigned area.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma; Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records promptly.
• Perform daily base checks and narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until handoff to medical facilities, maintaining thorough documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and continue education.
• Ensure compliance with licensure, certifications, and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain emergency equipment and supplies.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings, debriefings, and assist with pre-flight safety checks and pilot support.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure crew, patient, and equipment safety prior to liftoff.
• Fill open shifts as directed by the Regional Director.
