Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Flight Paramedic to deliver advanced pre-hospital and intra-hospital care during air transport. You will ensure patient safety, manage documentation, and maintain compliance with safety standards while coordinating with EMS, hospitals, and flight crews.

Requirements include at least three years in 911 or critical care, current EMT-P in relevant states, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma) with FP-C within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience in 911 or critical care settings.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the relevant states.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma; FP-C within 24 months of hire.
• Additional preferences include prior flight experience and instructor certifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records promptly for each flight.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide advanced life support care from initial contact through handoff at medical facilities.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and education.
• Keep licensure, certifications, and safety documentation current.
• Operate and maintain emergency equipment and supplies.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings, debriefings, and safety procedures.
• Assist with pre-mission checklists and support pilot activities as needed.
• Ensure aircraft safety prior to liftoff and conduct safety briefings.
• Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed.
