Job summary

Platform Aerospace is seeking a Flight Operations Manager in Blackstone, VA to coordinate aviation activities, lead mission planning, and manage resources for safe, compliant operation. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of aviation operations experience, a Part 107 certificate, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautics, Engineering, or a related field, or 7+ years of aviation operations experience.
• Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (FAA) is required.
• Experience coordinating flight schedules, crew assignments, and operational resources in a dynamic environment.
• Working knowledge of FAA regulations, aviation safety programs, and operational risk management principles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day coordination and execution of aviation activities at the Blackstone Facility.
• Oversee mission planning, flight scheduling, personnel readiness, aircraft utilization, and compliance.
• Lead the Flight Integration and Support Team for checkout flights, mission configuration, and customer integration.
• Support flight crew training and instructional activities as needed.
• Maintain operational metrics and report to the Director of CONUS Flight Operations.
• Ensure FAA regulatory compliance and safety standards across operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautics, Engineering, or a related field

7+ years of aviation operations experience in lieu of a degree
