Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation is seeking a Part-Time Flight Nurse to join a team of air transportation experts in Hobbs, NM. The position offers an hourly starting range of $28.66–$49.63, dependent on experience, plus a $6,250 annual area stipend and company-paid crew housing during shifts.

As part of the role, you will transport patients to and from facilities and perform scene call work, upholding high safety standards and quality patient care with a professional team.

Qualifications

• Three years of Emergency or Adult Critical Care RN experience.
• Current RN license for states served by the area.
• EMT and trauma certifications as required by state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required before flight status.
• CFRN required within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best actions for critical care patients.
• Use critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured patients and support orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment and perform equipment checks.
• Collaborate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews and partners.
• Share shift information and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Part-Time Flight Nurse Career Opportunity

We’re hiring a Part-Time Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

Minimum Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
