Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Flight Nurse to join our team of air transportation experts responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, and for scene call work. The role emphasizes safety, high-quality patient care, and teamwork with both air and ground teams.

Minimum qualifications include 3 years in Emergency/Adult Critical Care as an RN, current RN license for the service area, required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP), and CFRN within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Three years of Emergency or Adult Critical Care RN experience.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required (NRP provided during training).
• CFRN certification due within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best action for critical care transport.
• Manage critically ill/injured patients and support physician orders.
• Maintain safe, clean, stocked aircraft environment and perform equipment/base checks.
• Collaborate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

• Starting Range is $28.66-$49.63 per hour, Dependent on Experience
• Schedule requires two 24-hour shifts per week
• Company paid crew housing while on shift

We’re hiring aFlight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

Minimum Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s)where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
