Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for FT Nights (36 hrs/wk) in Nashville. The RN will apply the nursing process, educate patients and families, and coordinate care across the health system.

Qualifications include TN RN licensure, BLS/ACLs/PALS/NRP and CFRN certification; an EMT or paramedic license may be required for certain candidates, with related timelines. A pre-employment physical is required.

Qualifications

• TN RN licensure is required.
• National Specialty Certification CFRN is required.
• Current TN EMT or paramedic license; for out‑of‑state candidates with flight experience, this can be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Pre‑employment physical required.
• Certifications: CFRN, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, Trauma Certification (TPATC or PHTLS).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information to determine nursing diagnoses and care plans.
• Continually uses the nursing process to evaluate progress and apply interventions.
• Promotes health and a safe environment for patients and families.
