Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Macomb, IL invites a Flight Nurse to join our air-transport team. You will care for patients during critical care flights and on-scene calls, delivering high-safety standards and professional patient care.

The role requires state RN licensure, appropriate certifications, and a track record in emergency/critical care settings. We offer competitive hourly pay with additional stipends and a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of Emergency or Adult Critical Care RN experience.
• Active RN license in states served by the assigned area.
• EMT and Trauma certifications as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status.
• CFRN certification within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best action for critical care patients.
• Manage critically ill adult or pediatric patients per physician orders.
• Maintain safe aircraft environment with regular equipment checks and safety briefings.
• Communicate professionally with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews and partners.
• Share shift change information and keep documentation up to date.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
• Be punctual, reliable and uphold elevated safety standards.

IMMEDIATE HIRING! Flight Nurse Opportunity in MACOMB, IL

• Starting pay at $28.66 hourly + DOE
• $5.00 Hourly Area Stipend Modification.

We’re hiring a Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

Minimum Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
