Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a Flight Nurse to join our team of air transport experts in El Dorado, CA. You will transport patients to and from facilities and provide critical care in flight, adhering to safety standards and quality patient care.

The role requires emergency/critical care RN experience, current state RN licensure, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) with CFRN due within 24 months. Prior flight experience is a plus and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of Emergency or Adult Critical Care RN experience.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification and Trauma Certification as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP training provided).
• CFRN certification required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best action for critical care patients in flight.
• Manage critically ill or injured adults or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders.
• Maintain safe, clean aircraft environment and up-to-date equipment and base checks.
• Collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info and follow protocols for accurate documentation and records.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.

IMMEDIATE HIRING! Flight Nurse Opportunity in El Dorado, CA

Starting at $115,000k - $165,000k DOE

We're hiring a Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you'll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

MinimumQualifications:

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
