Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) is hiring a Flight Nurse in Crescent City, CA, to transport patients by air and provide critical care on scene. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and high standards across crew and facilities.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure and 3+ years in emergency/critical care, with required BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP; CFRN within 24 months and EMT/Trauma certifications as applicable. Competitive sign-on bonus and relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as an RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification as required; BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP before flight; CFRN within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Use critical thinking to manage the critically ill or injured patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment with regular equipment/base checks and safety briefings.
• Collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information and maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.

Starting at $115,000k - $165,000k DOE

$5,000 sign on Bonus plus relocation assistance

We’re hiring aFlight Nurseto work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
