Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Eagle Pass, TX is hiring a Flight Nurse to join our air transportation team, transporting patients to and from facilities and handling scene calls. You will work with a professional crew and uphold high safety standards while delivering critical care in flight.

Minimum qualifications include three years in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as a licensed RN, RN license in the states served, EMT and Trauma certifications, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; CFRN within 24 months from hire.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as an RN.
• RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT, Trauma certifications, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP are required.
• CFRN certification required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best course of action for critical care in flight.
• Manage care for adult and pediatric patients per physician orders.
• Maintain safe, clean aircraft environment and regular equipment checks.
• Coordinate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Ensure accurate documentation and records per company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the role.

IMMEDIATE HIRING!Flight Nurse Opportunity inEAGLE PASS, TX

• Starting pay at $28.66 hourly + DOE
• $8.33 Hourly Area Stipend Modification.

We’re hiring a Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

MinimumQualifications:

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
