Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Critical Care Flight Nurse to provide advanced life support during air and ground transport from the Cortez Air Base. The role requires autonomous decision-making, strong critical thinking, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Candidates should be state-certified RNs with ALS, BLS, PALS, trauma, and NRP certifications and possess emergency or critical care experience, with CFRN possible within two years.

Qualifications

• State-certified RN with ALS, BLS, PALS, trauma, and NRP certifications.
• Emergency or critical care experience; ability to obtain CFRN within two years.
• BSN required; must complete within four years if hired prior to deadline.

Job description

Role:

Critical Care Flight Nurse

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced life support and critical care during air and ground transport
• Assess, stabilize, and manage critically ill or injured patients autonomously
• Operate and maintain medical equipment, document patient care accurately
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, patients, and families to ensure seamless care
• Adhere to safety protocols and manage physiological challenges at altitude
• Maintain operational readiness and contribute to transport program quality

Qualifications & Skills:

• State-certified RN with no restrictions, with ALS, BLS, PALS, trauma, and NRP certifications
• Emergency or critical care experience; ability to obtain CFRN within two years
• Strong critical thinking, autonomous decision-making, and effective communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; must complete within four years if hired prior to deadline
• Preferred: extensive ICU experience, advanced trauma certifications, mentoring skills, familiarity with ICU technologies

Physical & Other Requirements:

• Ability to perform strenuous tasks, operate complex equipment, and work in high-stress environments
• Maintain weight restrictions, pass physical assessments, and work long shifts including nights and weekends
