Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Flight Nurse to join a team of air transportation experts responsible for patient transport to and from facilities and scene calls. The role emphasizes safety and high-quality care, working with a professional crew under strict standards.

Applicants must have an RN license in applicable states, three years in emergency/critical care, and required certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP). Flight CFRN certification is due within 24 months.

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care settings as an RN.
  • Current RN license in states served by the area.
  • EMT and Trauma certifications as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each situation to determine best actions for critical patients.
  • Manage critically ill or injured adults or pediatrics with physician orders support.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked aircraft environment and complete base checks.
  • Communicate professionally with air/ground teams, dispatch, crews, facilities and partners.
  • Share shift change info and follow protocols for documentation and records.
  • Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the role.

IMMEDIATE HIRING! Flight Nurse Career Opportunity
  • Starting Range is $28.66-$49.63 per hour, Dependent on Experience
  • $7,000 Annual Area Stipend
  • Schedule requires two 24-hour shifts per week
  • Company paid crew housing while on shift

We’re hiring a Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
  • Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
  • Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
  • Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Committed to being on-time, reliable, professional, and meeting our elevated standards in safety and service.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.
  • Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
  • EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s)where required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
  • Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior flight experience
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
