Job summary

Guardian Flight, Inc. is seeking a Flight Nurse to join a team of air transportation experts delivering safe patient transport and scene care. You’ll work with experienced professionals to monitor, treat, and transport patients under critical care conditions.

Starting range is $99,000-$102,000 annually with a $10,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments after training. The schedule is 5 days on and 10 days off, with company-paid crew housing while on shift, and a strong emphasis on safety and

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as an RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required; NRP provided during training.
• CFRN required within 24 months from hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best course of action for patient care in critical care.
• Manage critically ill or injured adults or pediatrics, support physician orders.
• Maintain aircraft environment, equipment checks, and safety standards.
• Communicate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change details and maintain compliant documentation.
• Keep required certifications and trainings up to date.

FLIGHT NURSE INCENTIVES

We’re hiring aFlight Nurseto work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

Minimum Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s)where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
