Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Part-Time Flight Nurse to join our air transport team in Amarillo. You will safely transport patients to and from medical facilities and participate in scene call work, while upholding high safety standards for the crew and patients.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs in critical care, supporting physicians, maintaining a clean aircraft environment, coordinating with air/ground teams, and ensuring accurate documentation and training requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required; CFRN within 24 months from hire.
• EMT Certification and Trauma Certification where required.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best actions to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care.
• Use critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured pediatric or adult patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment and perform base and equipment checks.
• Collaborate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews and facilities.
• Share shift change info and keep accurate documentation and records.

IMMEDIATE HIRING! Part-Time Flight Nurse Career Opportunity

• Starting Range is $28.66-$49.63 per hour, Dependent on Experience
• Schedule requires one 24-hour shift per week
• Company paid crew housing while on shift

We’re hiring aPart-Time Flight Nurseto work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s)where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
