Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term.
• Sophomore class standing completed by internship start date.
• Familiar with Python and Matlab programming languages and environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and improve software and simulation tools used to solve structural dynamics problems relating to flight loads and/or post-flight loads of integrated launch and space vehicles.
• Improve tools and processes used to prepare test and/or flight sensor data for comparison to analytical predictions and for use in fleet monitoring.
• Apply state-of-the-art techniques and procedures to carry out a series of scientific and/or engineering tasks related to dynamic loading of vehicles.
• Documenting and presenting completed work and recommendations.
