Job summary

Vaughn College in New York is seeking a part-time position to support its Flight program by offering simulator instruction in the flight-simulator lab on campus. The role involves coordinating with aviation faculty to ensure flight scenarios are scheduled and coursework is delivered to students.

The candidate should hold FAA CFI-A and CFI-I ratings, be able to assist students in the Flight Lab, and work with instructors, students, and college administration to meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist students in the Flight Lab.
• Must have an FAA CFI-A rating to instruct scenarios for Private Pilot Students.
• Must have an FAA CFI-I rating to instruct scenarios for Instrument and Commercial Students.
• Ability to work with instructors, students, and college administration to meet degree program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete and store paperwork as required.
• Work with academic staff of the Aviation department to ensure proper coursework is completed correctly.
• Work within instructors to ensure flight program scenarios are scheduled.
• Training new staff on use of simulators.
• Assist Flight Instructors as required.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

Enrolled/GraduatedVaughnstudentsfrom the B.S. Aircraft Operations Degree Programor CFII Instructors from our FAA approved Part 141 Pilot School or students that graduated from an FAA Institution of Higher Education that received authorization from the FAA to certifyit graduates for an airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate with reduced aeronautical experience.

• Musthavean FAA CFI-A rating to instruct scenariosfor PrivatePilot Students.
• Must have an FAACFI-Irating to instruct scenarios for both Instrument and Commercial Students.
