Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Flight Integration Engineer to bridge R&D and deployment for unmanned aircraft systems. You will integrate autonomy software, manage flight-ready builds, and support on-site flight tests across diverse environments.

You’ll collaborate with autonomy, GNC, and test teams, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and help improve integration timelines while traveling up to 30-40% of the year. A SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or Master’s/PhD with internship or equivalent.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python, with RTOS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Pre-flight build, configuration, and validation for flight-ready systems.
