Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a System Integration Test Engineer to bridge mission autonomy software with ACP flight hardware. You will work across Shield AI teams and platform vendors to verify interfaces, validate edge compute performance, and resolve issues before flight testing.

You will drive SIL and HIL integration across internal labs and vendor facilities, turning objectives into executable plans and test cards while ensuring robust, repeatable test coverage for mission-critical aircraft systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in system integration and test, including SIL, HIL, and flight test environments.
• Ability to author clear integration test plans and translate results into actionable findings.
• Strong troubleshooting using telemetry, logs, and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Mission Autonomy on ACP hardware in SIL/HIL labs and on platforms.
• Develop detailed integration test plans, cards, schedules, and criteria for lab, ground, and flight phases.
• Identify architectural, interface, timing, and hardware/software gaps; formulate closure plans and mitigations.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors to align lab readiness and entry/exit criteria; co-execute integration campaigns.
• Perform hands-on lab triage, configure test benches, and troubleshoot multi-system anomalies in real time.
• Drive test automation and tooling across engineering teams to accelerate development.
• Gate flight readiness, support flight testing, validate configurations, and analyze post-flight data.
