Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation and transportation technology or related field required or completed within one year of hire.
  • Pilot experience: at least 500 hours total flight time and 200 hours dual instruction given or equivalent teaching/industry experience.
  • Ability to teach, manage a classroom and course.
  • Must possess FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with instrument rating (CFII); multi-engine rating preferred; third class medical.
  • Candidates must be able to work in the US without immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct undergraduate flight lab courses in aviation technology.
  • Assess student performance.
  • Conduct Part 61 and 141 Stage Checks.
  • Mentor students and instructors.
  • Supervise night and Sunday flight activities.
  • Participate in projects and assignments at the discretion of the Chief Flight Instructor.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and transformational education.
