The Burton D. Morgan College of Aeronautics at Lynn University seeks a Flight Instructor to perform flight and ground training operations under CFR Part 61, 91, and 141.

You will assist with aircraft maintenance compliance and ensure adherence to service directories and inspections. Responsibilities include training students in Part 141 courses, conducting flight simulator and ground instruction, maintaining records, and supporting university events.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with safe flight and ground operations of Lynn University aircraft.
  • Train students in all Part 141 approved ground and flight courses.
  • Provide flight simulator and ground instruction per COA, FAA regulations, and procedures.
  • Assist with compliance with maintenance requirements for Lynn University aircraft.
  • Maintain student records and ensure course standards and training requirements are met.
  • Assist with Part 141 compliance for Lynn University.
  • Help hold monthly ground safety training sessions for all university flyers.
  • Support the College of Aeronautics with university events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Assist with ensuring safe flight and ground operations of Lynn University aircraft.
  • Train students in all part 141 approved ground and flight course.
  • Provide flight simulator and ground instruction in accordance with Lynn University COA, FAA regulations, and procedures.
  • Assist with compliance with all maintenance requirements for Lynn University aircraft.
  • Maintain student records and ensuring that course standards, training requirements and objectives are met by each student in each flight course.
  • Assist with compliance with all Part 141 requirements for Lynn University.
  • Assist with holding monthly ground safety training sessions for all Lynn University flyers.
  • Assist the College of Aeronautics with Lynn University events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Current qualifications
  • Current CFI or CFII rating with current FAA medical.
  • Flight experience as required by CFR Part 141.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four university or college (preferred)
