Dormont Manufacturing Co in St. Louis seeks qualified Flight Instructors to conduct flight instruction in the professional pilot programs. Candidates should possess a valid CFI certificate, with a CFII/MEI certificate preferred. The salary for Level I is $40,000 and for Level II is $44,000, along with benefits.
The role requires adherence to FAA regulations, maintaining flight proficiency, and conducting instruction during scheduled hours. Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to perform under stress, ensuring effective learning experiences.
Under general direction, conducts quality flight instruction required in the professional pilot programs at Saint Louis University. Participates in standardization training for each course that is taught and piece of equipment used in instruction; maintains flight proficiency for each course that is instructed; adheres to all FAA regulations and departmental policies and procedures; researches new and improved teaching techniques.
The selected candidate will be hired into the job level to which their training/certification applies.
CFI – the basic CFI certificate is required. Certified Flight Instructor– Airplane (CFI) required; CFII/MEI certificate preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred; can perform flight training in a single engine aircraft; valid medical certificate required.
