Job summary

Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus is seeking multiple part-time Certified Flight Instructors to join its growing team of aviation flight professionals. Certified Flight Instructors will train private, instrument, and commercial pilot students to flight standards.

This on-site role requires a current FAA CFI; preferred candidates may have a CFII, G1000 experience, and related aircraft familiarity.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor (Single-Engine Land) (CFI) is required.
  • Sponsorship eligibility: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Teach flight training for private, instrument, and commercial pilot students.
  • Ensure consistent progress and safety to required aviation standards.
  • Conduct curriculum-aligned flight sessions on-site at the campus.

About This Role

Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus is seeking multiple part-time Certified Flight Instructors to join its growing team of aviation flight professionals! Certified Flight Instructors perform flight training of private pilot, instrument pilot, and commercial pilot students, ensuring consistent progress. This position teaches students to fly an aircraft safely and to the standards required for commercial or private flight.

This position is On-site.


All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma (or equivalent)

  • Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor (Single-Engine Land) (CFI)
