Job summary

Fruition Group US in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Flight Dynamics Engineer to own flight dynamics from design through on-console operations. You will lead integration with ADCS, propulsion, and GNC components and develop high-fidelity models for trajectory analysis and momentum management.

You will tune control laws for pointing, detumbling, and station-keeping, collaborating with AI&T and Avionics teams to ensure proper hardware calibration within the spacecraft bus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of spacecraft flight dynamics experience, incl. attitude control and propulsion
• Hands-on ADCS hardware integration, sensor calibration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Proficiency with mission design software and flight dynamics tools (STK or similar).
• Strong programming in Python, C++, or MATLAB.
• Experience supporting missions from launch to on-orbit operations.
• Clean room and ESD protocol experience.
• US DoD Top Secret clearance eligibility

Responsibilities

• Document design processes, test results, and system performance.

Want to take a satellite from simulation all the way to live operations on orbit?

I'm working with a fast-growing spacecraft company in Los Angeles that builds fully custom, purpose-built satellites for national science and security missions.

They're looking for an experienced Flight Dynamics Engineer to join their flight program team and own flight dynamics from design through "on-console" operations.

What you'll be doing

• Leading integration, vendor management, and interface and performance requirements for ADCS, propulsion, and hardware GNC components
• Building high-fidelity flight dynamics models for trajectory analysis, momentum management, and propellant budgeting (STK or custom Python simulations)
• Developing and tuning control laws for pointing, detumbling, and station-keeping
• Working with the AI&T and Avionics teams to make sure hardware is integrated and calibrated correctly within the spacecraft bus
• Moving from the design and simulation phase into live operations, handling flight dynamics anomalies and maneuvers
• Documenting design processes, test results, and system performance

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of spacecraft flight dynamics experience, including attitude control and propulsion systems
• Hands‑on experience with ADCS hardware integration, sensor and actuator calibration, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing
• Proficiency in mission design software and flight dynamics simulation tools (STK or similar)
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or MATLAB
• Experience supporting missions through launch, commissioning, and live on‑orbit operations
• Clean room and ESD protocol experience
• Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a US DoD Top Secret clearance
