Job description

**Job Description Summary**

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven FLIGHT DECK Leader to collaborate closely with our supply base in developing and implementing lean principles to enhance operational capabilities. This role will focus on fostering supplier partnerships, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace’s commitment to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). The ideal candidate will be passionate about lean methodologies and possess the ability to guide suppliers in adopting and sustaining FLIGHT DECK practices.

**Job Description**

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Partner with suppliers to develop and implement lean manufacturing principles, ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace’s SQDC priorities, with Safety as the top priority.

+ Lead supplier engagement initiatives to build capabilities in lean practices, including continuous improvement, standard work, and problem-solving techniques.

+ Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate suppliers on lean tools and methodologies, fostering a culture of operational excellence.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction within the supply chain.

+ Monitor supplier performance and provide coaching to ensure sustained improvements in quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

+ Act as a liaison between GE Aerospace and suppliers to ensure alignment with FLIGHT DECK principles and strategic objectives.

+ Drive the adoption of lean tools such as Kaizen, Hoshin Kanri, and Kata to support supplier development and capability building.

+ Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety across the supply base.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations supply chain or related sciences from an accredited university or college

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations and /or Training

+ Must be willing to travel up to 50%.

**Preferred Experience:**

+ Proven experience in lean manufacturing, supplier development, or operational excellence.

+ Strong knowledge of lean tools and methodologies, including continuous improvement, standard work, and problem-solving techniques.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong supplier relationships.

+ Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

+ Commitment to GE Aerospace’s SQDC priorities, with a focus on safety and quality.

+ Experience in facilitating workshops and training sessions is a plus.

_This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
