Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a GN&C Flight Controls Engineer III for the Lunar Permanence team in the Greater Seattle Area, with responsibility for developing control laws and flight software for spacecraft from Earth to the Moon. You will prototype algorithms, conduct trade studies, and analyze stability in collaboration with other subsystems.

The role requires strong Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, and tools proficiency, along with a track record in aerospace GN&C and a passion for safe human spaceflight.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Mechatronic, or Electrical engineering or closely related field.
• Applied industry experience and/or M.S./Ph.D. focused on spacecraft controls.
• Proven GN&C algorithm development experience for flight/attitude control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate control laws for spacecraft from Earth to the Moon.
• Prototype algorithms and perform trade studies for control architectures.
• Collaborate with subsystems to define interfaces and performance measures.
