Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA is seeking a Control Law Systems Engineer II focused on V&V. You will validate control law requirements, ensure traceability, and collaborate across Systems Engineering, Software, Test, and Flight Operations to support certification and audits.

Responsibilities include developing verification strategies, executing test plans, and generating reports while advancing ARP4754A processes and continuous V&V improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 18 months of related Engineering experience; advanced degrees considered for credit.
• Experience in requirements-based development, validation, and verification.
• Hands-on experience with IBM DOORS (or equivalent requirements tools).
• Experience writing or executing test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Familiarity with system integration and verification environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent technical communication and ability to work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Author, review, and validate control law system-level requirements in DOORS.
• Ensure complete requirements traceability from airframe to software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear, testable requirements.
• Develop and execute verification strategies: test benches, linear/nonlinear analysis, HIL.
• Design and execute test procedures and verification cases.
• Support FAA certification activities and SDR reviews.
• Generate verification and analysis reports and certification artifacts.
• Identify gaps and drive corrective actions across teams.
