Jobbeschreibung

As an American Airlines flight attendant, safety is your top priority. You’ll elevate the customer experience by making people feel welcomed, supported and cared for throughout their journey. You’ll read the moment, respond with empathy, and communicate with clarity and care—whether you’re welcoming someone on board or helping them through an unexpected change to their itinerary.

Your crew and customers count on you to show up on time and ready, represent American with pride every time you put on the uniform, and be someone others can trust to do what’s right, every time. In a role where no two days are the same, you’ll adapt and move forward while helping your team do the same.

Training for takeoff

Your career starts with approximately seven weeks of immersive flight attendant training at our world-class headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. During training, you'll receive your base assignment and learn the safety procedures, customer service standards and operational skills needed to become a certified flight attendant.

While training is unpaid, American is committed to supporting you throughout your journey. Trainees receive single-occupancy hotel accommodations, three daily meals and access to on-campus amenities, including a fitness center, pool, trails and bike paths.

What you'll do
Lead with safety

Safety is our highest priority. Flight attendants are responsible for ensuring compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company policies while maintaining a safe environment for customers and crew members.

  • Responding effectively to onboard emergencies, medical situations and security concerns
  • Operating emergency equipment and assisting with evacuations when necessary

Flight attendants create positive travel experiences by delivering genuine hospitality, personalized service and thoughtful support to passengers of all backgrounds throughout every stage of their journey.

  • Welcoming and assisting customers from boarding through arrival
  • Anticipate needs, resolve concerns, and build customer loyalty through caring interactions
  • Serve food and beverages, including alcohol, in accordance with company standards
Collaborate as one team

Success depends on teamwork. Flight attendants work closely with fellow crew members to deliver safe, reliable and exceptional service.

  • Demonstrate accountability, dependability and flexibility in a fast-paced operation
  • Communicating effectively during routine and irregular operations
  • Treating customers, colleagues and business partners with respect and professionalism
All you'll need for success
  • Must be at least 20 years of age at the time of application
