Description

Flight attendant jobs are highly desired because they offer the unique opportunity to see the world while working. No special schooling or college degree is required; full training is provided by United.

Starting hourly pay of $28.88/hour, with top pay at $67.11/hour: Seniority-based increases and additional compensation for language skills, lead roles, and international trips.

Training: 6.5 weeks of training in Houston, TX, covering safety and customer service standards. Upon successful completion, you’ll join one of our hubs—Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, Washington Dulles, or other bases (relocation funds not provided). During training, a $140/week per diem, accommodations, and meals are provided.

In-flight Crew Member Skills: Safety focus, a people-first attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to turn travel dreams into reality.

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • 21+ years old
  • High school diploma or GED; college preferred
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • Clear, organized communication, loud enough for emergencies
  • Fluent in English and Italian (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to hear all sound ranges
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly
  • Professional appearance, grooming, adherence to uniform and tattoo policies
  • Proficiency with electronic devices
  • Valid U.S. passport with 18+ months validity
  • Ability to travel internationally without restrictions
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and operate equipment
  • Ability to pass reach assessments and sit in jump seats securely
  • Willingness to serve alcohol and work flexible hours
Training and Onboarding
  • Complete evacuation drills, background checks, drug testing, and medical exams
  • Pass a 10-year background check, including criminal history
