Job summary

Global Crossing Airlines is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to help keep our A320 fleet in peak safety and reliability. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, follow the GMM and CFR 14 rules, and collaborate with Maintenance Control.

The ideal candidate holds an A&P certificate, high school diploma, 2–5 years of airline experience, A320 familiarity, and the ability to travel up to 80%. Bachelor’s degree is a plus; a valid passport is required.

Qualifications

  • Must have an Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • A320 Familiarization course of minimum 40 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 85 lbs and travel up to 80%.
  • Experience with CFR 14 65.83 standards and airline ops.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day to day planned and unplanned Aircraft Maintenance on A320 family aircraft.
  • Maintain compliance with Company Manuals and Federal Regulations.
  • Complete required training and maintain currency per Manuals.
  • Support development and improvement of maintenance methods.
  • Ensure paperwork and records meet Company Manuals and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform day to day planned and unplanned Aircraft Maintenance on A320 family aircraft.
  • Perform maintenance in compliance with Company Manuals & Federal Regulations.
  • Complete required training and actively maintain training currency as defined in Company Manuals.
  • Participate actively in the development and improvement of maintenance methods.
  • Maintain Line Maintenance related tooling, stands and ground equipment.
  • Perform all aspects of Line Maintenance. (Troubleshooting, Engine Run & Taxi, etc.)
  • Communicate with Maintenance Control as defined in the GMM.
  • Perform all work tasks with a high level of quality and safety.
  • Ensure all paperwork and records are completed and handled as outlined in the Company Manuals & Federal Regulations.
  • Provide regular predictable attendance.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g. emergencies, change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Hold a current Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
  • Must have a A320 Familiarization course of minimum of 40.00 Hrs.
  • Must possess, maintain, or be able to obtain a valid Passport.
  • Must meet the recent experience requirements in accordance with 14 CFR 65.83.
  • Willing and able to work any shift.
  • Ability to lift to 85 lbs.; clearly write, read, and speak the English language; Squat, bend and climb regularly; work off of stands and lift trucks.
  • Ability to read wire diagrams and disseminate various levels of work instruction related to Line Maintenance and Aircraft Modification.
  • Be able to qualify for airport security badge and customs seal.
  • Ability to travel to remote locations and countries to perform maintenance.
  • 2-5 years air carrier commercial aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
  • A320 Family aircraft experience preferred.
  • Sheet metal and Avionics skills are preferred.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

This position requires up to 80 percent travel, including weekends and holidays, overnight travel is expected. Responsible for AOG events and approvals in the United States. Must have a clean driving record.
